On a day when Bill O'Reilly called news blogs on the Internet "Hate Speech", I found an article on the Huffington Post that shows how much O'Reilly is wrong on the benefits of free speech on the net. There was a sixty minutes broadcast that was blacked out in the south during last Sunday's episode. Click on the link for the details. I think you will be surprised.

Lessons from Ron Paul

Ron Paul could have been Mitt Romney this year. He raised more money than the other Republican candidates. He attracts legions of fans on campuses across the United States. He is all the rage on Youtube. Yet, he is a lesson in the power of mainstream media.
Ron Paul has been blacklisted because of his strict interpretation of the Constitution. The media has deemed his ideas to be dangerou. Fox news began the blacklisting and was quickly followed by the other major networks. He has been withheld from debates, left out of news coverage, and ignored by the media. Without the media, you can not win an election. Check out the graphic that failed to even show him on the election results from Iowa. CNN also has done this in the past. Very disturbing. Even Jay Leno from the Tonight show felt sorry for Paul and had him on his show one night because he was black listed.

Are we about Freedom around the World?

One of the perceptions I challenge in my book is the intentions of our government around the world. For this reason, I am posting links to news stories that rarely get the attention that they are due. After reading the articles, ask yourself, are we promoting the interests of multinational companies or freedom?

How to Control a Presidential Election

Fox news is excluding Ron Paul from the debates and ABC news is excluding Dennis Kucinich. This is how the media works for the empire. Interestingly enough, the four candidates allowed to debate on ABC received contributions from Disney, ABC's parent affiliate. Fox news on the other hand serves the mandates given to them by a higher authority, which is the reason why Ron Paul is not debating.
While both cases represent fraudulent misuse of the media, I find the case for Ron Paul to be most interesting. Ron Paul polled strongly in Iowa earning delegates. In the past, the media has used the excuse that they excluded a candidate because they did not do well. Ron Paul's exclusion is unprecedented. I will include links on the left to read the articles that support this media watch assertion.

Time Warner - Supporting the War on Terror

This weeks issue of Time magazine has an interesting cover that will go unnoticed by many. The cover of Time has a caricature of the leader of Iran. If you can, run out and check out a copy of the cover. Ask yourself, "How would I feel if another country mocked our leadership?" In an area that erupts over Western countries mocking their religion, Time must have known that the people of Iran and the Middle East would find the magazine cover to be disrespectful.

Fox Morning Show

I was watching Fox Morning News and noticed how sophisticated their editorializing is regarding Republican and Democratic candidates that are running for President. The routine goes like this.... In a seemingly harmless casual coffee shop type setting, the correspondents pretend to have a casual conversation about the candidates. For example, they might say, "Hey Barack Obama came out and discussed his use of drugs and alcohol in school." then one correspondent will say, "I kind of admire him for that." Then another correspondent says, "Hey I feel he did not say enough, lets roll the tape." Now all three will say, "Hey your right, Barack was irresponsible because he did not say enough against drug usage." They do this every time. They have a set up, then a convenient clip ready to show the candidate, and finally some editorializing. Very clever way of manipulating their viewers. Check it out for your self.
